I created this short video around the end of March when it was well into Spring here in Southern Oregon. Just the day before myself and friends were enjoying the sun, however winter seemed to have different plans. A large cold front moved into the Siskiyou Mountains and dumped over 16” of snow everyday for three days straight on Mt. Ashland, making it the most snowfall for the whole season. The cold temps worked their way into the valley dusting Ashland with some beautiful white snow.
I wanted to capture the last possible snowfall Ashland in a manor that could instill the emotion and presence of watching the snowfall in person. After conducting my test of a vertical horizontal video, I decided this would be the look and flare to show off how wonderful the snowfall can be.
Till next year winter!
Sincerely, Jared Hail
