Here’s an action scene test I wanted to try out. I’ve been meaning to extend my knowledge in After Effects, so I thought, why not make a little test? I really enjoy Andrew Kramer’s tutorials at videocopilot.net. I highly suggest checking out his stuff.
This is the tutorial I used: Muzzle Flash
I found the muzzle flash effect along with the bullet holes online, and added the sound effects using Soundtrack Pro’s preset effects. I found that the muzzle flash was quite simple to do, however the tracking for the bullet holes was quite a hastle. I found this work flow to be pretty effective along with the correct camera work, sound effects, and acting. I will definietly be having fun with this for a future project.
